SCIA part of the Nemetschek Group has launched SCIA Engineer 2019 version 19.1.4033. This release brings multiple workflow improvements as well as many new functionalities that will help you handle the analysis of multi-storey buildings and other civil engineering structures with minimum effort while simultaneously increasing the overall efficiency of standard day-to-day tasks.

– Aluminium: The bending check has been corrected to do this only in the presence of a longitudinal weld as specified in table 6.4 of EN 1999-1-1.
– Aluminiun: Certain cross-section fabrication types (Concrete/ Timber / Extrusion / Drawn / Forged) where not displayed in the detailed output of the aluminium check. This has been resolved.
– Analysis: For seismic load cases with zero factor there is an error message before calculation starts.
– Calculation : Fixed problem with eccentricity of 2D members in nonlinear calculations.
– Calculation: Fix of numerical issue in calculation with nonlinear functions.
– Calculation: New check before calculation on not compatible functionalities with plastic materials.
– Composites: Issue with wrong variable h_wt in calculation of z_b in opening check is fixed.

– Cross-section: Added a warning in case the user tries to add a thin-walled rectangle from the Profile Library into a General Cross-Section.
