MiKTeX (pronounced mick-tech) is an up-to-date implementation of TeX and related programs for Windows (all current variants).

TeX is a typesetting system written by Donald E. Knuth, who says that it is “intended for the creation of beautiful books – and especially for books that contain a lot of mathematics”.
MiKTeX is a publishing system focused on a set of mathematical formulas. Has a huge number of features, including packages for creating drawings, presentations, tables, etc.
Most of the world’s leading publishers, publishing journals in mathematics, physics, computer science and subt. Computer science accepts articles and monographs ONLY in tex format (see, for example, Elsevier, Springer).
Extras. Information: In this distribution there are packages MiKTeX 2.9.6637 complete 32 bit and 64 bit (from 09/07/2018) (new!), Miktex basic 2.9.6753 32 bit and 64 bit (new!), Miktex portable 2.9.6753 (new !), and the accompanying software: Ghostscript 9.23 (new!) and GSview 5.0 (with a tablet) – programs for working and viewing in vector formats .ps and .eps, TeXnicCenter 2.02 – the shell for TeX, literature and manuals for some packages, as well as utilities for transformation from Word to LaTeX and vice versa (attention, the composition includes the latest versions of utilities without a tablet and the version of 2007 with a tablet, without a tablet utilities are fully functional the first 10 times) and to create a mirror updates. Beginners are advised to begin TeX study with the help of K.V. Vorontsova “LaTeX2e in the examples”!

Installing the full version
0. If there is no pdf reader, we install it. Sumatra PDF is recommended.
1. Install Ghostscript (and optionally Gsview)
2. Mount the image of Miktex_xxxxxx.iso using DaemonTools Lite and run setup-2.9.4503.exe
3. Install TeXnicCenter
4. Launch TeXnicCenter, prescribe it in it let MikTeX’u – InstallDir \ miktex \ bin (usually C: \ Program Files \ Miktex 2.9 \ miktex \ bin), PDF reader’u, etc.

Installation and work with space savings – it is recommended

We find the line “The package will be installed from”, click “Change …”, in the window that appears, select “Packages will be installed from a directory” and specify the path to the virtual disk X: \
This method can also be used with the Portable version.
