AutoCAD 2018 New Feature Summary

The following is an overview of the changes made to AutoCAD 2018, including the AutoCAD 2017 Update releases.

High Resolution (4K) Monitor Support
User interface elements such as the cursor, navigation bar, and UCS icon display correctly on high-resolution (4K) monitors. Most dialog boxes, palettes, and toolbars are correctly adjusted to the Windows setting for the display scale. For the best results use Windows 10 due to operation system limitations, and use a DX11-capable graphics card.

PDF Import
PDF files generated from AutoCAD drawings that contain SHX text store the text as geometric objects. You can use the PDFSHXTEXT command to convert the SHX geometry back into text, which now includes an option to use the best matching SHX font. The TXT2MTXT command has been enhanced with several improvements including the option to force uniform line spacing.

Visual Experience
The improvements include the following:

Hatch display and performance are enhanced.
Anti-aliasing and high quality graphics settings for supported graphics cards can now be controlled independently from each other.
Off-screen object selection works as expected in all cases.
The orange rubber-band line that appears when you create and edit objects can now be set to any color from the Options dialog box, Display tab, Colors button.

External Reference Paths
The default path type for external references is now set to Relative. Two new path options are available: Select New Path, and Find and Replace. Additional capabilities include the following:

When you fix the path for a missing external reference, you can now apply the same path for other missing reference files.
When you save the host drawing in a new location, you are prompted to update the relative paths for the external references.
The Change Path Type option in the External References palette now reflects the current path type when a single external reference is selected. The current path type is not accessible, which lets you know which path type is current.
You can attach references with Relative Path type for unnamed files.

3D Graphics Performance
Additional performance improvements have been made when using 3DORBIT, and panning and zooming with the following 3D visual styles: Wireframe, Realistic, and Shaded. For best results, we recommend that you use a 64-bit machine and a compatible graphics card.

DWG Format Update
The DWG format has been updated to provide improvements in the efficiency of open and save operations, especially for drawings that contain many annotative objects and viewports. Additionally, 3D solid and surface creation now uses the newest geometric modeler (ASM), which provides improved security and stability.

What is SE (Special Edition)?

On May 23, 2017, Autodesk released a statement that, in Russian, means something like this: if you have any product of the AutoCAD 2018 line that has an “update” of “AutoCAD 2018.0.1 Update” on board, then you need to install the AutoCAD 2018.0.1 Update before June 1, Update “AutoCAD 2018.0.2 Update”. Otherwise, the program will stop running, indicating that the pre-release time has expired.

What is it, the new policy of Autodesk or the banal error of programmers, is unknown. Although I tend to the latter.

Due to this, I quickly reissued all the assemblies of the AutoCAD 2018 line, where I installed the update “AutoCAD 2018.0.1 Update”. Since the version of the main product (in this case Electrical) does not change, and the new assembly should be distinguished from the previous one – the nameplate SE (Special Edition) is included in the name of the new assembly.

Active:

Install AutoCAD Electrical 2018 by selecting the desired components.
Copy the keygen you need (32-bit or 64-bit) from the folder Crack to your hard drive. If you do not, it will not work correctly.
Run the program. A window opens prompting you to enter a serial number or use a network license. Select “Use serial number” (Enter a Serial Number). Agree with the privacy statement. In the licensing window that appears, click Activate. In the next window, use 111-11111111 as the serial number and 225J1 as the product code, then click “Next”.
In the window that opens, you will be notified that your serial number is invalid. Click “Close” and confirm canceling the operation. The licensing window will reopen, where you will again have to click Activate. In the next window, use 111-11111111 , 222-22222222 or 333-33333333 as the serial number and 225J1 as the product code, and click “Next”. In the window that opens, select “I have an activation code for Autodesk” (I have an activation code from Autodesk).
On behalf of the administrator, launch the hard drive on the hard disk (right-click on the file and select “Run as Administrator” from the drop-down menu) and click the Patch button in the keygen window. A window with the message “Successfully patched” should appear.
In the Keygen Request field, copy the Request Code from the Autodesk licensing window, replacing it with the inscription “Paste Request here”. After that, press the Generate button and transfer the resulting result from the Activation field of the keygen to the Activation Code field of the Autodesk licensing window. Click the “Next” button. You should see a message about the successful activation of the product.
ATTENTION! The generated Activation Code is somewhat longer than the keygen box allocated to it. Try not to lose some of the characters when copying. But, also, I want to note that this code is shorter than the space allocated for it in the Autodesk licensing window. The sixteenth field remains blank, and the fifteenth contains only one character – the letter Z. Activation is not an obstacle.
