Global Mapper allows you to not only view but also edit or convert, and even print various maps and vector data sets. Global Mapper allows you to download your data as layers (only on the condition that you are working in the Digital Elevation Model), or as a scanned map, if you want to represent the terrain in 3D. There is also a nice feature that allows you to work in real time. This happens by downloading data from the GPS receiver, which is connected to the computer.
