Altair HyperWorks Solvers 2017.0.1 with Help | 1.6 Gb
Altair has released update for HyperWorks Solvers 2017, is a collection of finite element and multibody dynamics solvers for structural, fluid-dynamics and systems simulation. These solvers can be employed for simulation driven design as well as design optimization.
MotionSolve 2017.0.1 Release Notes
MotionSolve is a state-of-the-art multi-body solver available in HyperWorks. It has a complete set of modeling elements and powerful numerical methods to support a full set of analysis methods. The accuracy, speed and robustness of MotionSolve have been validated through extensive testing with customer models and test data. MotionSolve also offers unmatched compatibility with ADAMS/Solver input.
In version 2017, MotionSolve brings new capabilities, added functionalities to the existing capabilities and improvements in performance. The 2017.0.1 release is a hotfix meant to be installed on top of 2017.
– 2D curve to curve contact
2D contact between two curves is abruptly lost for certain curve configurations where one curve is rotating and the other is stationary. This has been fixed and such curves maintain contact between them for all angular configurations.
– SMP based co-simulation with Matlab/Simulink
Co-simulation with Matlab/Simulink (version 2016a/2016b) fails when MotionSolve 2017 is used. This has been corrected within this release. You can now use Matlab/Simulink (version 2016a/2016b) for co-simulation with MotionSolveHyperXtrude 2017.0.1 Release Notes
Altair HyperXtrude is a suite of finite element solvers for simulating metal extrusion, polymer extrusion, metal rolling, friction stir welding, billet forging, and resin transfer molding processes. It has process specific features for each of these processes and supported with an easy use interface for setting up model data. This hotfix update contains bug fixes to HW 2017 release.
– HyperXtrude for Metal Extrusion
Windows version of the solver had convergence issues for a few hollow profile extrusion analysis. This issue was resolved.
– HyperXtrude for Resin Transfer Molding
Solvers had license issues on both Windows and Linux platforms. These have been resolved.
– HyperXtrude for Billet Forging
Solvers had license issues on both Windows and Linux platforms. These have been resolved.
