Installation Instructions AirSlax:
For CD / DVD – burn ISO image to disk.
For USB flash drives:
1. Unpack the ISO image of the program on the USB flash drive as a regular archive, the file system on the USB flash drive must be FAT16 or FAT32 (3 folders – boot, EFI and porteus) should appear in the root of the flash drive.
2. Go to the boot folder on the USB flash drive.
3. Run the installer for your operating system. If you are creating a USB flash drive from Windows, run Porteus-installer-for-Windows.exe, if you run porteus-installer-for-Linux from Linux.
4. Type “ok” and press Enter (the protection against accidental start of the installer is made, so you can once again make sure that you run the installer on the required media). Run the installer with administrator privileges (root from Linux or sudo).
ATTENTION!!! Do not run the installer on the hard drive – after that your computer will most likely stop loading from it (the hard drive).
