112dB announced that their popular device Redline Reverb now has a younger brother – Mikron Reverb. It has a simplified design, like a pedal, which indicates ease of use. Most of the parameters of the older version are hidden behind a few controls, and you can get the same high-quality sound without being distracted by the details.
Mikron Reverb contains a kind of "smart algorithm" that determines the ideal parameters for different spaces, so you can always get a great sounding reverb, no matter what kind of knob you turn. It is said that using the plug you can make very long tails, which allows you to use it to create atmospheric sounds.
Mikron Delay is inspired by classic bridge delays and magnetic tape delays from past. We did not try to imitate one of these classics, in particular, but tried to grasp the basics of these devices that make them sound incredibly fantastic. Instead of creating the perfect emulation of one particular device that we admire, we did a "flexible vintage delay": to give you the opportunity to use all the cool "tricks" of these old machines to create your own old school tape or bucket delay.
Mikron Delay is the perfect tool for creating atmospheres, ambient and drones. It dispels any incoming sound into a lively, lush, warm "sound cloud." Specially designed modified delay models to create organic kinematic atmospheres. A slight detuning of the source material can cause some tension in the sound.
Mikron Compressor is an easy-to-use compressor that can work both very transparently and highly harmonize the signal.
He has the same high-quality sound as his big brother Big Blue Compressor. But its principle of operation is simplified to a few intuitive buttons. However, don’t let the appearance fool you. Despite its obvious simplicity, the plugin still offers more flexibility. With shorter attack times, the sound will be very clear and smooth. Longer attack times combined with the Choke knob will allow you to achieve color in the style of vintage tube compressors. Or you can exaggerate the effect of saturation and use the Mix knob to simulate a "New York-style compress."
With a delay of just 1 millisecond, Mikron Compressor is suitable not only for mixing and mastering, but also for live performances.
